anyone have this on there X?

Just wanted to know if it was loud? I don't want a muffler that makes my X sound like a crouch rocket, but something with deep bass roar!

With the Flow master 50 searies delta flow work for me?

Dad doesn't the neighbors pissed when I leave/arrive 1am and wake them up and stuff.

You'll love the 50 series. It's keeps the interior noise way down. Make all kind of roar when you step on it. The idle tone is sweet. Chances are if you have heard a vehicle that you just loved the sound of it is probably running a flowmaster.

don't want it as loud as the 40 series but better sounding than stock.

The sound is perfect, you will not wake up the neighbors.

Just don't floor it when driving down the street late at night.

The 40 is way to loud, the 50 is right up your alley.

I think it is the perfect sound, not obnoxious, but has a nice rumble(i can only speak for 50 delta flow). Sometimes i wish it was a tad more agressive, maybe down the road i'll switch to the 40. But for now i'm pretty happy with it, but you definatly wont piss off the neighbors with the 50.

VERY good to hear! now i'm thinking of just chopping off the stock one and welding the 50 on there and rebeld some pipe 2 inches higher to adjust for the 2"BL

i ordered themuffler this morning. if was the 50 series from summit racing ad the order # was FLO-942551

with the 2.5" pipe in and out.

is that the correct fitting?

If you're using your stock pipe.. no.. but they can make it work. Have them run a new fully welded 2.5" tail pipe while they're at it. You'll gain some more HP and better sound. My tail pipe section only cost like $30. And a little for labor. Then you'll have a full cat back.

Has anybody heard of the 50 series suv? they say that is better because the interior resonance it's lower and inside it's quieter, the part number is 52555 for 2.5" in and out. So has anybody bought one and have comments on this one.

I am running the 50 series suv flowmaster on my X. It's really quite inside but gives off a nice rumble when I step on the accelerator. I wish it was a little louder but I don't want a 40 series on my X.

I've got an orginal 40-series on my truck right now - and its just a bit too much inside on long trips.

I'm planning on switching to the 50 series dela-flow, but am curious which is quieter on the inside - the normal 50 series or the SUV 50 series?

Anyone know the answer?

I can't really say for the 50 delta but for the 50 SUV it is quite quiet on the inside. Long trips are no problem.

my vote is for the 40

well i have the origional two chamber "40 series" and yes it has quite a drone at any speed that puts the cruise RPM's at about 2-3k but thats because the stock sheilding sucks.....the noise outside is by no means going to wake up your neighbors at night (unless you gun it and even then they would have to be real light sleepers).....you barely hear it at idol from about 20' away(the fuel pump is louder). and if you have the sohc then it will be even quieter...why i dont know but my buddy put it on is 01 sport and it didnt make as much noise inside or out.

I have the 40 series 2 chamber right now and its annoying. I'm going back to stock - but just was curious about opions between the 50 delta and 50 suv.

The 40 can get pretty loud inside sometimes - especially if trying to hold a conversation with someone in the back seat.

I don't mind if I wake the neighbors - just want to hear myself think on the inside.
