look for the mufflers i posted earlier in the thread... those will fit the stock piping, and if you want to get a 2.5'' catback i would suggest either of these too magnaflow...
im looking for a loud exhaust what if i get a high flow cat and take out my muffler and replace with a pipe will that be good? anhting cheap and loud that sounds good

If you're looking for a loud muffler...go for a Magnaflow 13288 XL. May be more expensive... This is a video on a Toyota FJ Cruiser 4.0L on the FJ forum the owner of this FJ Cruiser says his cab vibrates from the muffler noise.
I got mine for $72 @ pep boys. It was $82.99 regular price, but I got $10.00 off (on sale).
Greg- Doesn't sound like what my Ex sounded like, but that is a different engine. Its the OHV, we have the SOHC. Still not the best sounding compared to a magnaflow. Thanks for posting the video.
This as close to a 2002 V6 (2001) as I could find, my rig starts to sound a bit ricey at over 2500rpm. It's a bit hard to escape but a nice idle/low rpm note.

Give it some time Mine has started to deepen up. I hit 3 thousand RPM and I sound like I'm packing a 4.6 under my hood, as before I thought I had a lil 4cyl honda motor packed in there.
Exhaust + Intake (and a tune) = A very torquey motor, and it's loud. I rarely take my Ex above 2500 RPM on acceleration. At 2200 RPM my Ex pulls through the numbers like its nothing.
i went to a local performance shop today and i cant straight pipe the exp its a $10,000 fine if i get pulled over so im gonna get either the flowmaster 44 muffler or a thrush turbo muffler which would be louder?
