What are the specs of the inlet/outlet? This is all off the top of my head, but if I'm not mistaken the third gen's are dual inlet/single outlet with 2.25 stock pipes like the second gen's. There's an '02 sitting on my driveway right now, so I could look if need be, but you have one also...

If the 50 you have matches those numbers then it should be a good match. If not, see if you can have a local exhaust shop fab it to what it needs to be.

single in / single out... to be clear

and i think it goes... center inlet / offset outlet...

and installing is easy for any exhaust shop... just drop the amazingly large muffler. the flowmaster is alot smaller so just cut some pipe to reconnect the exhaust...

Ah that sounds more accurate, thank you for clarifying, I wasn't certain

its not hard to add the muffler yourself just takes some muscle

thanks alot. ill set up pics and maybe a video if theres a way to put it on here.
Thanks again

no probs...

cant wait to hear a 50 series !! i never have...

see i never have either. And i cant find no video of my truck with a 50 series.
Hopefully it sounds good.

my friend used to have a 50 series flowmaster on his 96 camaro rs he had the 3.4 liter engine in it.

Got it on yet? Lol im really curious to hear what it sounds like....

That makes two of us, I've been lobbying my brother for this setup on his '02 4.0 for over a year now. If only I could show him exactly what it would sound like...

Ima start either tonite or tomar nite.
Its to hot during the day around here

did those videos help out

the 00' X doestn sound to bad, but then again its not achieveing optimal sound resonance compared to a more open exhaust...

i would love to test a 50 on my exhaust

Finally got that 50 series on. Its not to loud but its got a nice growl to it. Low noise in the truck, but i plan on finishing the rest of the exhaust from the head back. Right now its just that 50 series on the stock exhaust. I figure it will open it up more when i go with bigger pipes. Plan on doin the video for yall tonite or in the morning. So itll be up in the next day or so. To everyone on this tread thanks for yalls input.
