I'm wanting to maybe get flowmasters for my '98 sport (v6) Are there any that will actually sound good? I don't want it really loud, one of my friends brother has a gmc jimmy with flows and its really loud and sounds like crap. I want it to sound good when idle but also sound good when accelerating. How much would it cost for something like this and can I have some links and stuff please.

Consider a catback,2.5 inch single magnaflow system, 300-350 bux

I have a custom catback Magnaflow and got it done at an exhaust shop. You can probably get it done a little cheaper than spindlecone said. I got mine done for $210.

cost is probebly dependant on your local and the materials used and the cost of the exhaust tip, i used a 3inch ford oval that was 40 bucks alone.
The speed shop that did mine used all mandril bent stainless, this adds to the cost.
In my case SS was way overkill as we see no snow or salted roads, in retrospect I could have saved some bux by using aluminized steel pipe.
BMX is correct, a good shop can do the job for far less than I paid

I have a Flowmaster 50 Series (SUV) with 2.5" piping from the cats back and I like it. Definitely louder than stock, but far from obnoxious.

Do a search on "Flowmaster" and you'll see TONS of opinions on Flowies. They seem to be the brand of choice on this site.
