i have a 95 ford ranger 4.0 liter V6 4x4.
ok here we go...
two years ago i had to replace my flywheel because it broke off right at the crank.. no idea y it did! so i replaced the engine two months later cuz of engine sludge from my dad no taking car of it. never caused problems but when i went to replace head gaskets i saw it all and said no way. so i put a engine with 50,x.. in. it has been a lil over two years and the same thing just happened!!
my flywheel has snapped again.. and my mechanic is pullin the tranny as i wrote this. he said he this the pump for the tranny may be messed up? and/ or the torque converter .
but heres the thing i also just replace the carrier bearing for my driveshaft. it was rattling real bad right before i did it.
also my tranny does have soleinoid out. so instead of getting all these tests done on this tranny wouldmnt it be cheaper to throw a nice used tranny in i can get a perfect one(they tested them all) for 390.
need some help guys thanks
