Finally got myself another explorer, so now i'm sorting all the little issues. This problem is, my front fog/driving lights come on if I flash full beam, but not if I push the stick back to have full beam on permanently. Does anyone have any idea why this might be and how to solve it?

Thanks

Thats just how it is in 2nd gens. "Search foglight mod"

My last explorer they came on with full beam. Not sure if it's just uk, but they should come on with full beam, the are driving lights, not fog lights.

i did the mod a couple months ago, took less than 5 mins...so simple and easy

IN Canada we have had D.R.L. for many years its a great frontal accident prevention tool because other drivers can see us. The only thing on our 2007 Ford Focus that we must remember to switch the park tail lamps on in low light conditions so the rear lights are lit and people do not collide into the rear of the vehicle

when fog lamps are selected from the park lamp position of the light switch
the tail lamps park lamps and marker lamps are lit, however the D.R.L. is also lit in the low beam and is we want to use the fog lamps alone we cannot because the white light from the D.R..L in the low beam shines into the fog above the fog lamps Factory oversight otherwise the unit is a great little vehicle

see weblink below to see pix and comments on fog lamps and DRL from Canada from a
