fog/driving lights

Ouch.... Thats the trouble with Far East Cars. When they go wrong, they really go wrong.. making up for all the Goddam years of faithful service..

I was working the Imprezza too hard on the 4x4 bit. Trying to get it to off-road and starting to kill it! Had to go... Shame, nice ride, if you're 25...

Fiancee still hates me today! Especially after this mornings fiasco..

Hard to complain though - took it to 178,000 miles before I gave up!

First 'box lasted to 155k, replacement was s/h anyway. Did 171k on its first exhaust, replaced in it's 10th January, never had a battery - just tyres and service.

The trans was the only thing that ever broke or stopped it - ever!

So tempted by a VR4, but I do like my clean licence!!

65??

The other thing being, I still cant get over what polar opposite two 1998 cars can be! I love my Explorer but talk about agricultural!!

Try jumping from an Explorer into a Series Landrover for a while!! When you get your hearing back, your left arm recovers from playing "find the right gear", your nervous system from trying to guess which way it is going to head next and your body recovers from the effect of "vorsprung durch cartspring" technology you'll never call an Explorer agricultural again!! :)

Bu don't all explorers come like this ? i know my fog/driving lights come on with the main beam and always have!

Here in Canada we use separete toggle switches for additional driving lamps and operate them from high beam

we are not allowed to use additional lighting on low beam, In B.C Canada we can operate fog lamps instead of low beam lamps in dense fog providing the tail park and marker lamps are operated with the fog lamps. or we can choose to use low beam instead of fog lamps with the Tail park and marker lamps lit as well

WE have too many drivers that switch on fog lamps and never shut them off
or wire them up hard wired to low beam causing complaints and glare for oncoming drivers at night time in clear weather fine set by police $ 109.00

just because vehicle arrive on site does not ensure the regulations are met
nor that public safety was planned into the units
