I have a 2007 explorer with stock fog lamps. I have condensation in one and thanks to these forums, I now know about a dozen ways to get it out and keep it out. I do need help getting them off to get them cleaned out and treated with silicone. I haven't really crawled underneath the vehicle yet, but I figured I would ask in here for some advice before I screw something up. Any help would be appreciated. I also need a concesus on what I should do about keeping it out, silicone the seam, or drill a hole in the bottom. Thanks in advance.

I had the same thing on my right fog. Apparently it came cracke from the factory. The housing was cracked not the lens. I siliconed it twice and still had condenstion building up. I later got frustrated and bought one off ebay for $20.

yeah, i'm not sure what is wrong on mine, I have checked the lens pretty well, and I don't see any problems with it. I have to get the stupid thing out. I was hoping to get some idea of what it takes to remove it before I climb underneath and fake it.

There's three plugs (long round cylinders) that snap into the bumper housing. Take a small long screwdriver and push in the tabs on one of the plugs while pushing the foglight outwards. It's a little pita at first but you'll get it.

I remember reading that you could take a long socket and fit it over the plug and push the foglight out. I tried that and didn't work for me.

Thank you kind being, sounds like fun...I live in Iowa and it is very cold now, going to give it a couple weeks then go to work.

got the thing out, it was a pita, tried the socket thing and that didn't work, I just had to fake it. Thanks for the help everyone.
