Fog Light Re-wiring

Hey Guys,

I've read through the thread here talking about how to modify the wiring to make the fog lights turn on independent of headlamps/parking lamps. I've followed through it, but I was unsuccessful.

I have a 99 Mountaineer. I would think that Mountaineers and Explorers have same colored wires ... would I be wrong?

Can someone please tell me in detail how I can modify the wires in my Mountaineer to turn my fog lights on independent of my headlamps? (so that I can turn on my High beams w/ fogs at the same time).

I can't answer your question but your best place to start would be to buy a Chiltons or Hanes manual. They should have a diagram of your wiring.

if these are hellas then for the switch you just have to run the third wire to the battery.
