Alright, how do you replace the bulb on the fog light switch? I'm not referring to the indicator light that indicates that the fog lights are turned on, I'm referring to the bulb that illuminates the switch so you can easily find it when driving at night. Any ideas???

If you can find an old school TV repair shop and bring them the old bulb they can match it up. It is a 12V "rice grain" bulb. I doubt radio shack would have it. Look in your phone book for TV/ Stereo repair. The bulb sits in a special holder that you remove by twisting. Then you can carefully take off the translucent blue lens, and remove the delicate wires from the connector.
Also, you can try a helpful ford dealer. They can look up the part number for the internal bulb. Its a few bucks.

Keep in mind, there's a little green cover on the end of the bulb you'll need to save. Be careful removing it and putting it on the new bulb, so it doesn't tear.
The hardest part of the whole job was getting the switch itself out of the plastic holder.
From what I've heard, the bulb doesn't cost much from Ford, and comes as one assembly with the colored cover, bulb, and base all one piece. That's probably the easiest option.
The Radio Shack bulbs that are linked above do work very well in the fog light switch and the rear defog. switch. I have also temporarily used one of these bulbs in the rear wiper switch. It is a little dim for the wiper switch because it is too small, but better than being totally dark I did have to get creative to get the little rubber cover to work on this smaller bulb though in the wiper switch.
Be careful when replacing cruise control bulbs. When taking my switch apart, the plastic tabs inside the switch that hold the circuit board in place broke off, so off to Ebay I go for replacement switches.
I hope my newer '04 Explorer has led bulbs. So far no bulb replacements in it.
