Fog Lights

Hi to all i have a question, hopefully someone can help me with it. On the 02 XLS there are 2 spots where it looks like fog lights can go on either side of the lower grille, but there are no cut outs for it, and yesterday i noticed that the mercury mariner has fog lights that i think would fit can anyone help me and answer if those factory fogs on the mariner woulf fit in the XLS locations ?

I'd go to a dealership and look under the Merc to see how they are mounted and take measurements.
Although with a little cutting and bending you can make almost anything fit.
