fog or driving lights

i have a 99 ford explorer xlt my question is i dont have the stock foglights that mount in the lower part of the bumper has anyone ever cut the plastic out and installed aftermarket lights there or is it better to get a grill gaurd and mount them there just curious and also has anyone got any wiring diagrams or how tos on wiring a x to pull a trailer with eletric brakes thanks for any help i can get

You are sort of limited in your choice of lights if you use the Ford holes. Catz MSC would be great lights for there. Doing the grill guard you can use most any kind.
If your X has the trlr. tow package there should be a light pigtail or a place to plug one in under the bumper on the drivers side. If not the trlr. &/or auto parts stores have adapters. I have no idea how elect. brakes work.
