Hey guys I love these forums I belong to a few others being that I have a 01 f-150 supercrew and a 03 cobra. Anyway I would appreciate if anyone with a silver or white Adrenaline could post a couple of pics. Here are the questions how are they on gas the v-8 vs. the v-6? What do these cost are the dealers cutting huge discounts with the economy in the toilet? How is the 6 speed auto any problems how does it shift? I plan on trading in or selling out right the f-150 and getting the adrenaline I saw one last night and love it. Any help is appreciated thanks Dave. Here are some pics of the f-150 and cobra also a pic of the bike.

Well the Adrenaline is just cosmetics on a sport trac. My V8 gets 28 on the highway 18 city, much more than advertised but I keep my foot out of it now. The V8 and the V6 can get the same mileage. The 6 speed shifts smoothly, but it can shift a little hard on takeoffs when it is hot with the AC on.

Thanks a lot that is what i was looking for my f-150 gets 13-15 mpg it's killing me.

I have been getting in town 14 to 16.5 and 20 to 22.5 on the highway
you will love the STA they ride way better then the f150's and they have good power to my st went 15.8 at 88 not bad for a 5000 lb truck and I now have a tuner so it should go 15.50's.

P.S.
Nice Cobra !!!! and pics of my rides

Nice Mach I love them and nice choice on the stock wheels in deep dish now lower that and it will look sick.

I love my Adrenaline so far. It's not big on power though, even with the 4.6L. I've seen gains of 30 hp and 40 ft lbs torque just from a simple custom computer tune. I plan to have my tuner (Pro-Dyno in Charlotte) to do just that, as soon as I put an exhaust kit on it and open up the intake a bit.

The trans is sluggish on the shifts like any SUV/Truck. That can also be adjusted in the tune as well, for quicker shifts.

Mine is the standard red color.

Here are a couple pics of my White Suede STA, it's not your Cobra but it'll get into trafiic. Definitely get the V-8 with the 6 Speed, some folks have had problems but personally I've had none. I make sure I come to a complete stop at turns, stop signs etc. The ride is smooth and quiet and with the 4.6L 3V I think it has potential. A tuner, intake, exhaust and possibly 4.10 gears should make this thing right. I get about 15 & 20 with my normal driving style which ain't granny style and doing about 75-80 on the hwy.

Sweet there is a silver 08 for sale by me I love the white though looks so clean. I really don't care about power it will be faster then my f-150 is now. And when I want to go fast I get in the Cobra. I have no intentions of modding this vehicle (yeah right) maybe exhaust and a tune thats about it. I will have to see what kind of deal I can get on one. You said that there have been issues with the 6 speed what types of issues?

I have an '08 Limited with the V8. Get a tuner from Bama Chips, it is unreal the difference it makes with no down side. I can not understand why FoMoCo doesnt ship them tuned this way.

The 6 speed does have some quirks, but very few outright failures. I do like the low first gear, makes takeoffs sweet.

All in all, after 1 year & 18000 miles, I would buy again.

Well they still have the adrenaline and I went in today to talk to them with employee pricing it will be 29,000 thats with a sticker price of 40,000 it has navigation as well put in by the dealer. I don't think I can pass up 11,000 of the sticker but they are killing me on my trade. I have to go drive it on fri and sat first then decide.

Big V, with new car prices as low as they are, the market for trades are worse. Do it, you will like the Trac.

Maybe I am imagining things, but the more miles my truck rolls up, the better overal performance it seems to have.

Well it was 6 degrees this morning and my rain guard fell off while driving and shattered all over the road. Guess the truck gods are telling me to get rid of the f-150 and get the sport trac.

New Trac? ... just DO it !

Big V...

Looks like you are at the same stage I was a week and a half ago. I tried it out a couple times... looked at this forum, and a lot of pictures.... plus the youtube comparison video with the ST, the Ridgeline, the Dakota, and the Tacoma... the clarity of the comparisons convinced me of the TS's merits.

Yeah... mileage could be better, but with the computer readouts, it's proving to be a game to monitor mileage, and see how I can improve it. We love the ride and the quiet... this is no "clunker". Also love the sounds and power of the V8 when you need to pass someone on the highway. Seems mileage is better at 65-75 mph as the rpms are close to the same as at 55-65 mph. So you're covering more ground at the same rpm I'd say.

It's nice to have something different... won't meet one around every corner that's for sure.

Hope you can do it...
