Recently my airbag light has been flashing 37 at me. I asked around the board and most people could only come up with something that has to do with the side airbags. Well, I dont have side airbags.
Saturday I went to Ford and asked what it meant and here is what I got. If you do not have side airbags, under the passenger seat are 2 little yellow plugs. These are 1 ohm resistors that trick the system into thinking that there are side airbags. As the seat is moved back and forth it creates a charge on the resistors fooling the system into thinking it has a high condition across the resistors. I wasnt physically around when the mechanic fixed my light because I was talking to another mechanic but I think that all he did was pull and replug the terminators. If this doesnt work for someone, please let me know and I will find out exactly what to do to reset this condition.
