Let me start by saying this is a very helpful site, but i do have one problem here and that is you are all the way up there, the advice is good but how do i get the parts down here.

So if you don't mind I would like to ask an Aussie to start up a site like yours so that we can be closer with all the info and talk about our local problems we have here.

:australia Mate let me start by saying there is about 5 Ford Explorers in Australia and i'm one of them, having said that i use this site and it's advertisers for my Explorer having just rebuilt the transfer case and replaced the front auto hub assemblies and clutch all at 100,000Ks thats 60,000 miles for our US & UK listeners to say i'm not happy:fire: is an understatment :thumbdwn: just not built for real offroad, anyway i am greatfull this site is here cause it has saved me thousands of dollars, even with the dollar exchange and postage still 1/3 of the price here in Aussie for parts (eg) the chain in the transfer case $750 in Aussie :thumbdwn: in the US $100.52c, with postage exchange and fitting here $430  nearly half the price so my advise use the resources here mate i have and will continue too.:chug: and a great bunch of blokes as well :D

Ps, this is my email bmfitz@optunetdotcomdotau give us a buzz we can talk Explorers :exporange oh i forgot i use our Explorer for real offroad driving like VIC high country and the Snowy, Yalwal, Bendethra, brindabellas does quite well.

Yeah them newer x-fer cases just aren't very good. Swap in a BW-1354 from a 1st generation Explorer and it'll be able to take most anything the V6 and mountain climbing can dish out. I've beat the crap outa mine and it still keeps kickin like it always has.
