HI,

i like to do a Service on my 2013 Explorer Sport (now 20k miles).

I life in Germany, so it´s a little difficult to get the "official" service plans.

i try to get some Information on ETIS (it worked with my previously Focus CC)

https://www.etis.ford.com/fordservice/serviceScheduleForm.do

but if i select the Explorer it shows nothing (maybe geo location?)

i´m glad, if someone could help me with this and future plans? :-)

If you are referring to maintenance schedules for your Explorer, they are shown in the Owner's Manual.

oh yes... i think i mean the maintenance :-)

ok if this is enough then i take a look...

i only want be "safe" (as far as possible) when i go to my mechanic and give him enough info what to check specially at this vehicle :-)

Hallo @Schimi, ab Seite 422... :chug:

my brother is a mechanic but it´s difficult for Ford EU get information from Ford US (maybe they don´t want it).... so the fees aren't high for me ;-)

Inspection is not maintenance and you should not pay the outrageuos fees that the dealership will charge you.
No charge for that multi-point inspection at my dealership. It is part of the oil change service. I get that report, however accurate it may be, with every oil change.

I wouldn't shy away from a complitmentary inspection, but will definitely not pay for it.
Some dealerships uses fear tactics, lying to customers that warranty will be void if inspection is not performed...but for the educated buyers, we know they are full of BS.

I paid $104 Canadian for my first synthetic oil change along with a full inspection, rotation, and a car wash at the Ford dealer I bought my car. I'll be doing this every six months. It's good value in my book and because I've got a extended warranty, everything is getting done at the dealer. If anything breaks or falls off, it's on the dealer.

Here in Vancouver, I'm not finding the cost to go to the dealer to be significantly higher than a 3rd party mechanic... so far. Guess I'll have to see when something real happens. They've been great, and I've been super happy with their service. That said, I've had some terrible dealer visits with other cars and other brands. I may have just found myself a decent dealer.
