I have a 2008 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer 4.0 V-6 w/4 wheel drive. Fords website say to change the Tranny Fluid at 150K miles (this is when I type my VIN in). The book in the vehicle says to change one type at 30K, another type of tranny at 60K. I called the dealership and they said oh do it every 30K (of course they want the money).

Does anyone know when this service should be performed?

I have an 06 V6 and changed mine around 30k. Dealer offers extended warranty if you change it every 30k

30K miles should be fine unless you tow or go off roading. I would recommend 15K or 20K in those cases.
