gearbox about my 1996 explorer 4.0 V6
on
1999 explorer 4.0 V6 ???

The 1996 used a 4 speed transmission the 4R55E and the 1999 uses a 5 speed transmission the 5R55E. Unfortunately with the transmission being computer controlled, you won't be able to get it to work without heavy modification
