We are advising all of our customers who are considering into purchasing a bullbar for the Ford Explorer; that you will have to cut and notch out the lower front splash guard in order to install the mounting brackets to the body frame. We have had one or two of our customers who took this item to their local Ford dealer to have this item installed; and the Ford dealer refused to install this item stating that it would void their vehicle warranty and the engine performance could suffer. This is totally false because if you properly install this item without making any large notches in the splash guard; it will not affect the engine performance whatsoever. Thought that I would share this helpful tip.
