Turn traction control off next time. No one likes safe understeer.

Seriously. The Ex has the guts of a station wagon / mini van. Treat it accordingly.

Well, I guess that's a donut if you call driving in circles a donut...:D

Thats action? Looks like it almost got stuck!

But hey, it's the most action I've seen from the 5th gen Explorers so far and that is definitely farther than anyone has ever taken their own Explorers. Still a slightly cool sight to see.

Also, about the traction control, it was in sand mode so it automatically turns it off. He just didn't floor it that much.

I think a FWD driven in circles while in reverse might be more entertaining :D

What's sad is that's about as "off road" as the new ones are good for.

Really?

I get it; they're no rock crawlers, but our '11 XLT tackled the deep sands of OBX better than our '01 Expedition ever did. So, how 'bout a little more credit? ;)

All in good fun, of course....

Sad that kids these days think that is a donut... :D

Or is it more sad that vehicles these days are incapable of doing a proper donut? Can we even turn off the "nanny's" on the Ex to enable a proper donut?

so I watched it drive in circles and ruin somones baseball diamond?

this was more action than that video,

and it took me about an hour to winch that out of there after if fell trough the ice into a swamp in -40,,

Hahahahaha "off-road". Sheash. I'm glad I didn't buy this vehicle for it's off road prowess and I'm sorry for those that did. Starting off with FANTASTIC break-over angles and HUGE clearance I don't care what that rotary dial tells you, it's just a bumpy road.

Gosh, I'm glad I admitted when I bought this thing it was a minivan in wolves clothing.

Carry on, nobody's laughing. Well with you, not at you. *snicker*
