Hi all I have been lurking on this site for a few years just never posted because I've gotten lucky with the searc function! I have a 65 Conv, 96' V8 Explorer and a 2001 Ranger..
I am needing some advice on the Ranger then I will move on to my bigger front end issues on the Explorer... Where is the fuse for the Cig lighter on this truck? I don't have a manual and the lighter plug stopped working.
Can anyone tell me where it is Engine or left interior fuse box and what number? I have checked most of them inside already and didnt see any blown so am a litte frustrated...

...Do you just have the cigarrete lighter or also a power point???


...It is fuse #17...20 amp, leftside, 5th down, in your fuse box on left side of dash..

New Problem!

Ok, fixed the Cig lighter with a new fuse but now the Speedo, interior lights and instrument lights don't work?!!!

Checked fuses again but they look fine Don't remember the number but it was a 30A

Any ideas?? Would it be the relays under the hood? how do you test those?
45A and 45B right?

Any help would be appreciated

im having the same problem, but with the other AC? or is it DC? plug for cellphone chargers etc. i check ALL of the fuses on the left side, and a whole row isnt lighting up.. nothin wrong with the truck but the one outlet, like the other guy on this forum that fixed his cigarrete lighter, mines sunk inside the dash. so i can't use it. OH! and im new by the way, first question in this forum hope to get some help! i have a 95 XLT! any help much appreciated!
