when you get a call the music on the radio turns off then it rings through the speakers. i think it only says "phone call" or "incoming call" or something like that; i dont think the actual number is displayed on the radio. this is the first time i had a chance to play with it so im not sure if their is a way to get the numbers displayed or not. you do have to program its own phonebook though which could take awhile if you have alot of numbers. after you do that you just hit the activate button on the little keypad you place on the dash and say, "call <pause> Joe," say the location if their are more then one (work, home, cell) and it calls. you can also just say a number and it will dial it.
the installation was actually pretty easy. its just plug in, no cutting involved. you have to remove some screws on the console, lift that up so you can then pull the molding off around the radio. unbolt the radio, plug the harness into the back, plug the wires from the car into the harness and thats about it. the actual brain of the unit usually goes behind the glove box (open the glove box; squeeze in both sides and it will flip down all the way. feed the wires around to that area, zip tie everything secure, run the mic and thats about it. the hardest part was stuffing all the extra wires behind the radio and still being able to slide it all the way in. im not sure how different an LS would be, might be a little tighter, but i would assume its not impossible.
