I was looking into this for my LS a while back. The prices to do the work for me were outrageous! I probably might end up doing it myself. How hard was the install Greg?

when you get a call the music on the radio turns off then it rings through the speakers. i think it only says "phone call" or "incoming call" or something like that; i dont think the actual number is displayed on the radio. this is the first time i had a chance to play with it so im not sure if their is a way to get the numbers displayed or not. you do have to program its own phonebook though which could take awhile if you have alot of numbers. after you do that you just hit the activate button on the little keypad you place on the dash and say, "call <pause> Joe," say the location if their are more then one (work, home, cell) and it calls. you can also just say a number and it will dial it.

the installation was actually pretty easy. its just plug in, no cutting involved. you have to remove some screws on the console, lift that up so you can then pull the molding off around the radio. unbolt the radio, plug the harness into the back, plug the wires from the car into the harness and thats about it. the actual brain of the unit usually goes behind the glove box (open the glove box; squeeze in both sides and it will flip down all the way. feed the wires around to that area, zip tie everything secure, run the mic and thats about it. the hardest part was stuffing all the extra wires behind the radio and still being able to slide it all the way in. im not sure how different an LS would be, might be a little tighter, but i would assume its not impossible.

Yeah some LS's with the Nav/THX systems came with the Mobile-ease stock. I opted against getting a $6,000 NAV system in my LS because I could get an aftermarket one for $2,000 and have much more features. I will have to install this though, I already got the phone for it, just need to install the piece itself.

gregsz - do you know where i can download the manual for this Ford mobile ease to see how it works or what features it does? the install seems pretty easy. i'm wondering if the display would be different because i have the navigation system.

sorry, i dont know where online you can download the manual. this is what the control looks like in case you havent seen it.

the explorer i installed it in had the dvd/navigation system so im guessing the display is going to be the same regardless of what level radio you have. i wish i could remember for sure what the display said when recieving a call (im pretty sure it was just basic info...."phone call" or something to that effect). if i happen across another unit at work ill look at the manual to see if their is more to it then that.

would have been great if Ford had something!

Hello, I'm new here. Thanks for the link. I knew there was a code to pair a phone, this user guide helped. I got my Blackberry to pair with the Mobile Ease but it won't connect. My blackberry connects to another vehicle so I know it's set up properly. When I key in the code 0000 the Mobile ease tells me phone paired and the radio comes on. Yet the phone will not connect. Any ideas? Is the Blackberry not compatible with Mobile ease? The Mobile ease worked with my old phone. So confusing.:frustrate
