Ford Ranger/Explorer 1993 differential problems.

So.... couple problems starting with the front diff and ending with the rear diff, front diff is shot, rear seems like a tooth is broken off, wheres the best place to start? the rear diff is 8.8" 28 spindle

i believe the axle code is R6 does that sound right? and i can't figure my front pumpkin size till tomorrow during the day its like 238 am right now

someone called me they have a 1992 ford ranger 4.0 V6 4x4 automatic will that rear axle work in my 1993 ford ranger 4.0 V6 standard?
