Ford Ranger maintenance and upkeep.

I am changing the ball joints (upper [including control arms] and lower) on a 2001 Ford Ranger 4.0L 4WD Edge. Already have the complete upper and lower set. Seen how to do the lower ones, anything special about the upper ones I need to keep in mind...or is the entire process pretty straightforward. The local Oreilly parts store (great guys by the way) have no problem loaning me any tools I might not have to start and finish the job - however my tools should cover just about anything that might be necessary. Any insight into the "difficulty factor" would be appreciated. Thanks.
