Ford Ranger overdrive

Hi! All the Ford that I have owned that have the overdrive button in the drive selector are in overdrive when you start the truck and you have to turn it off to disengage. The 2003 Ranger I just got when you start it has the overdrive off and you have to push the button on. Is there anyway to reprogram this so when you start the vehicle the OD is automatically on??
Any help would be appreciated!!!

OD is automatically on. Thats the way they all are, I don't know of a way around it.

sounds liek someone may have done a little tweaking on your truck, i dont know how to fix it, but i would bet there is some type of computer over ride
