Hey guys whats up. Sometimes I do free enclosure designs when I'm bored.

if you want one all I need is

-what kind music bass response do you want??
ex: loud daily beater, smooth low end beast, sq??

-max dimensions
width, height, depth

-power available

-subwoofer(s) make and model, provide T/S parameters if you can

Ha ha ha...Just messing mang. I think we all know that if someone is using a sub like that, the owner has enough sense to build a box.

Let's see what you can come up with for my upcoming build. Was just trying to figure out what kind of box to build.

I want a loud daily beater, but smooth low end beast sounds nice.

I don't really have max dimensions. I have the entire back end of the exploder.

I have 1200 RMS going to it. If that's what you mean by power available.

And it's a eD 19Ov.2.

Can you do the opposite.. I have an enclosure and I used a very old speaker building program (termpro, the Dos version) to come up with the numbers. I then kinda fudged them by making a Sonotube enclosure instead of a box.

I'd like to know what what my frequency repsonse ended up as and what the power handling is (termpro can't handle a round enclosure and I don't know if the round enclosure really makes a difference).

yeah if someone has four 18 BTL's I hope they would know what they were doing lol.

If your cd skips than all you need to do is make a custom enclosure that suspends the cd player and isolates it from the vibrations with some types of springs and dampers lol

With a round enclosure...basically just calculate the volume and port displacements like a rectangle

I just finished up my design for my 19Ov.2 and my Nine.1 last night that I am going to build when I have time.

It's 41.5" wide 21.5" deep and 19.5" tall

5.55 cu ft tuned to 30Hz.

That basically what I did.. I was hoping that would be right (wasn't sure about standing waves etc)..

I'll find my spec for the speakers and re-measure the box(tube). I "think" I may be tuned a little low (I've heard the speakers "clack" a few times) or I may actually be running out of power (four 135 watt channels going to the sub box which has two DVC 8 ohm 12" subs). I'm not exactly going for SPL as this is in a home theater. I wanted low clean bass for movies.

The speakers "clack" because that is the voice coil former slamming against the back plate...basically you are bottoming out the speaker. Power is not an issue though.

I just built my first transmission line enclosure a couple weeks ago...it sounded awesome. I am going to use it for home theater use. has audible output down to 25hz easily. If I corner load it it probably will dig even deeper.

No "real" finished pics becuase its still not covered but I have finally decided on what to cover it with... high gloss chamelian paint (black/purple).. The rest of the room is almost finished (the pics above were taken when I was painting the HT room)

I found the top cap didn't seal well so I'll take it off and get some exact measurements and then put it back on (I need to get it to seal better but I don't want the top to be perminant). I may have to just bite the bullet and seal the top perminatly (like the bottom is).

Since power isn't the clack issue I'm hoping its the top not sealing (making the box seem bigger than it is) that is causing the issue. I was thinking of going up to a single 1000 watt amp but If the clack isn't caused by lack of power (clipping) then I won't need to do that and I'll just keep the 540 watts going to it. Its nice having two matching amps in the rack.. and I have two spare channels that I'm not using that I'm sure I can find a use for (10 out of 12 135watt channels are in use on a pair of Kenwood KM-Z1 6 channel amps)

Someone buy my box...I had it slot ported at 36 hz and 7.4 cu.ft for two 12's. I had some x..'s in there. I will sell it if some one wants it. Subs up port back...crx baby.

I love Sonotube enclosures simply for their simplicity in build- and the light weight is a plus when you need to move it.

That is impressive. Can you take another picture using a different view with all the measurements? Can't tell how wide the port opening is from there.

I'm curious, why was it that you centered the box, whereas on the previous one you made, it was on the right side?
