I fried my clutch last Friday wheeling and now it's leaking worse than ever! It never used to leak. I'm pretty sure it's from the engine. I also saw it coming form the T-case, I think. It could have just fallen back from the front though.

I have been driving it to work. (only 2 miles) Would ride my bike, but it's been raining here. If I let out the clutch and slowly give it gas it will begin to go. Just lots of slipping!

Also which clutch should I get. I found one for like $170. Is that a good price?

Please help. I don't wanna screw the beast more that already so!

I have a 92xlt 4x4, obviously 5speed.

I found this
clutch on autosone.com will this work/what I need?

I think the clutch it bad. It was fine before I went into this one hole and then got stuck and sat in it for an hour, when I got out it was slipping and I had to keep it in 4lo to get around the trail.

is there anything I can do besides replacing the clutch?

Help with clutch!

I think it's the clutch. I got stuck in a hole for an hour and when I got out it didn't work.

Leaking? Hydrolic Fluid or Oil? If your leaking fluid you need to find out what it is. If it's oil your rear main seal could have went and you may have oil on your clutch and pressure plate. In which case you would need to remove the tranny, clutch and flywheel and replace the seal. Good time to replace the clutch as well as it will already be out.

If your leaking clutch fluid it is more than likely coming from your slave cylinder (common) in which case you will still need to remove the tranny to replace.

My advice... remove the tranny replace the slave, clutch, pressure plate, pilot bearing, rear main, and have the flywheel turned or replaced. Lotta work, but worth it in the end.

Sounds like you definitely need a clutch. You will also need a flywheel. You may have been able to turn the old one, but with a lot of oil in there, the flywheel is junk and needs to be replaced. By the way, it's possible the reason your clutch is slipping is oil all over it instead of burning it up. Either way, you can't get the oil out of everything, so it needs to be replaced. All of it...including the throw out bearing. Also inspect closely the bearing retainer on the transmission and make good and sure it is smooth and not grooved so your throw out bearing can operate properly. And of course, fix your oil leak while you're in there.

thanks for merging the threads. I will have to buy that next paycheck!

How long does it take to replace it?
Or how long do you think?

Its leaking from where the trans and engine meet. Also the T-case. Engine isn't leaking. I guess I got some work ahead of me!!!
