From iceland

Hi - I live in Iceland and is owner of Ford Explorer 4WD 1999 (also owner of Ford Fairmont ´79). The Explorer is in dayli use.

But can anyone tell how much I should thigten front hub assembly, have found on the net from 184 lbs to 250 lbs ?

i had a 91 and i would jack up one side at a time and tighten them that way i was sure they were seated but if im right there is a notch on the plate and its easy to miss but that would be a guide

The front axle nut torque spec is 157-213 ft lbs...
