Front air locker response from ARB

Ok guys this is still ongoing over here about the locker for the front as i stirred things up, they still arten't sure if they will attempt to put a locker in my front diff as what i told them about this site has scared them off.... in there books it says they can put them in to a 97 x and they can't get any help from ford because they don't seem to give out any info on what diff is actually used over here...... what diff is used in the front over there????

You know I'm sure that someone has thought of this but maybe not... The mistake may be in dealing with ARB USA. Sure they are nice guys and all but they still have to go through head office in Australia with their requests. So maybe they don't want to look dumb by requesting the locker for an Explorer with it's reputation in North America being what it is(the whole soccer mom, mall runner image ). Thing is in Australia the Explorer is a very popular vehicle and it is vewied as a rugged off road ready vehicle. You guys might have better luck going to the source and bypassing the boys in Seattle.

Wow! This thread is over a year old. I'd DEFINITELY pony up the cash for a front ARB but where does it all stand now?

Well it's going on two years now and still no response from ARB. Maybe it's time to look elsewhere. Check this link out. It seems this company is already working on a locker for the Explorer and they also only need 30 people to step up before they go into production.

It says air activated ones are discontinued, so they will be electric.

Hey guys, Whats the scoop with the Arb air lockers. I'm really interested and am willing to put the money up front in a little while. I'm a little tight for the money right this minute but I would be willing ot do it. Let me know.

Front ARB locker will not happen for the IFS equipped explorers. It looks like Killer Axles may make one though in the near future. See below. Killer axles

There was not enough interest for a Torsen LSD either (the one I wanted).
Other than that we SOL, unless you wanna swap transfer cases and get a powertrax.
