front armrest

I was just wondering if anyone has had the armrest on the 60/40 front seat break on them and if so if you fixed it and how because mine is broke and I am going to try to fix it. :rolleyes:

Depending on where it broke J.B Weld or any other good two part epoxy should hold it together.
 






Fixed mine with J B Weld and reinforced it with a couple of steel angle brackets screwed into it

best bet after you fix it is to keep a tennis ball (?) or empty soda bottle under it to support it or it will break again

I hear that the replacement part was modified to be stronger

I got the replacement hinge for my 92X direct from Ford. It has steel and can hold a lot of weight on the armrest. It was about 40-45 bucks and really easy to replace. This was after the JB Weld version broke and this one seems to be pretty solid.
 






you can find the steel replacement parts on ebay fairly often. usually about 25 bucks.
