Front axle bearing.

What are the symptoms of a front axle bearing going bad and how much of a bear is it to fix?

(Not the wheel bearings... but the front drive axle.)

Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

My Man I believe we are in the same boat.
A few days ago my front drivers side wheel started making clicking and poping noises that I could hear inside the truck. I dont really know how hard it is to fix. I was hoping someone else would answer that. As soon as christmas is over I'm fixing mine w/ some friends. I'll let you know how hard it was.

It was just the Front axle "U" joints. Up and running smooth again.......

How hard was it to replace them? Did you run into any obstacles?
