Front Bumper Question

I have a question for all of you out there. Are all of the bumper covers for the 2002-2005 Explorers and Mountaineers interchangable? My front bumper cover has been "dented" in on the passenger side. I am going to take off the bumper and try to pop out the dent from behind. If the dent can't be pulled out, then I want to replave my XLS bumper with either the XLT bumper or the Mountaineer bumper (prefered). I have seen it done with the XLT bumper, but not the Mountaineer bumper.

he's better off with an XLT bumper from an X that didnt come with the fog light option...a mountaineer bumper will leave him with holes where the fogs would be, i think there would be a gap for the different grille, and he'll have side markers.

The top of the bar, and how it fits into the front fenders looks similar to me, but would need to be viewed side by side to make sure, I guess.

Whichever bumper I change to, I plan to add the factory foglights...I guess I should have said that in the original post...so that part of the swap is no big deal. I just like the look of the Mounty front bumper better than that of the XLT. Of course, I like the XLT better than the XLS bumper that I have. I don't know what Ford was thinking when they made the XLS without the foglights (oh yeah, they were thinking that people would buy the XLT over the XLS).

Do you have any kind of fender flare/moulding at all? That looks like that may not match up. Unless you could take it off your bumper now and put it on the other cover.

No. The XLS has no body or bumper molding.
