Thanks for looking in - I'm working on an 03 2WD Explorer and one caliper was very tight so replaced with new one. Now they are both seized!? Lines look OK and bled lines after work. ABS light is on - is it possible to disable ABS encase that's the problem? I've heard maybe it's the master cylinder - is there a way to know or just replace it and see? Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hub will not turn without alot of force - press calipers back and eveything is smooth. I've replaced quite a few wheel bearings but this brake deal has me confused. Master cylinder sound right? Can an ABS problem lock calipers? Thanks.

in a severe case, it would be possible that your abs sensor is bad so it thinks it needs to apply the brakes, and that could be locking the brakes, i would check your abs connections, and possibly check the codes if there are any... i gotta say i'm shooting in the dark. i'm sorry i can't be of more help, hopefully someone else can help you out.

To finish up post - I inadvertantly bled brakes improperly resulting in alot of air in lines. One caliper did need to be replaced but my inexperience w/ brakes was the main culprit in seizing both calipers.
