Hi Everyone~
Another week, another issue with my 2005 Explorer EB. As everyone knows, we're getting nailed up here in the Northeast with snow storm after snow storm. I've been putting my defroster on almost full blast at around 90 degrees (the temp. is digital). It's been barely working. It never thaws more than a small strip at the bottom of the windshield. Even on days when there is just a light frost, it doesn't seems to be working correctly. The blower sounds like it's working but when I put my hand in front of it, it doesn't feel like it's pumping out too much air flow.
Also to side mirrors which are supposed to be heated don't seems to work either. Isn't the icon with the wavy lines on the mirror supposed to light up if it's working? Because they don't & the ice doesn't melt off. The manual says not to scrape them so I'm left with frozen side mirrors.
I've checked fuses, I've tried cleaning the vents out, but nothing seems to be working. Any ideas if there is something I'm missing?
