Front differential rebuild

I just bought a kit and had my mechanic do a rebuild on my front differential. Other than oil or maybe some other small parts all that I should have been looking at was what I though would be 2-3 hours labor. The mechanic wants $394. What do we think? Sound fair or should I fight it a little?

Did he remove it from the truck? If so thats a REALLY good price.

Average price if you brought the diff to him.
