So, I just replaced my transfer case on my awd because of hard banging and jolting up front when I accelerate, it seemed to go from side to side, right, then left , then back again until I let off of the accelerator... I replaced it with a used one that they said was good, with no problems, but it's doing the exact same thing... I hate to think someone swindled me... I'm hoping it might be something else..any ideas? Thanks

Have you checked your suspension, like the sway bar links, tie rods, ball joints, and arm bushings? My 2000 Explorer needed ball joints, tie rod ends, and sway bar end links a couple of years ago. It got new shocks, too. That got rid of a lot of front end noises.

I took out the front drive shaft today, and it isn't making any noises now.. I'm thinking maybe front differential or transfer case... I checked the the ball joints and steering, everything seems tight....
