Front end clunk on gear changes and throttle changes

Hi folks,
Did a search first to check if there was an easy answer but had no luck, I have a front end clunk when you change gears start of or reverese or even when you let the acclerator of and then put it on again it clunks. Exactly like a stuffed uni-joint "had them before". I jumped underneath and unis are good transmission mounts are good etc, but the front drive shaft can move an inch of rotation as I turn it back and forth I can hear the clunk and see the input shaft of the diff turn as well, so this means the slop and movement is in the diff itself, does anyone know how much movement should be available on the input shaft of the diff

there is a post on this cauz i read it hoping to find answer to my front end clunk......i dont remeber if it said how much but it may have been updated scince i was there......i will try to find it again but dont stop lookin

Well feel stupid in a way, said it sounded and felt like a stuffed uni, popped the car on some jacks so I could free spin the wheels, have only been looking at the front drive shaft and diff becuase thats where the sound was coming from, rotate the wheels and clunk clunk from the back of the car, went down and my rear uni was shot, I mean it was dead dead, no beairings half the uni housing gone and worn away, not very good, ripped it out this morning and changed the uni and its sweet as, no clunks.

But it does have a bad front end squeak I need to find the easiest way of stripping the front suspension down so I can put some grease in around the rubbers, anyone got a cheats guide or easy strip down path
