Hey everyone,

I'm not a mechanic... so I'm turning to some of you guys to ensure that I'm not going to be ripped off...

I was given a quote of $1950... to get both outer Tie rod ends, Upper and lower Ball joints, and both front wheel bearings....

Now, can these be done independently of each other?
I don't have the 2 grand to get it all done at once...

(Yes this is a dealership quote)

Thanks.

If you're not going to do it yourself (there are writeups for all of those repairs on the forum if you'd like to try) get away from the dealer for those repairs- any small shop can do them for probably half that price.

Most larger tire shops also do front end work. I would definatly get a couple of quotes.

I wouldn't mind trying, but living in an Apartment doesn't allow me the oppertunity, I don't have the tools, and they don't allow any of the residents to work on their vehicles.

I appreciate it, could those all be done seperately?

I would do the ball joints and tie rod ends together, as you should have an alignment after either or both.

The wheel bearings can be done separately.
