I'm taking my '02 and putting on the lift tomorrow to diagnose my front end binding/noise issue.
Basically since I've had it the 4x4 bangs loudly on turns and even with too much gas going straight. This is in 4x4 hi.
Now, which I engage 4x4, I can hear whining, slight rubbing or grinding as the front drive shaft is turning, and it binds like a mother on any turns, even in snow.
So I was guessing transfer case, but it also just feels plain loose and woobly in the front end driving down the road, almost like it's vibrating too much over bumps in the pavement.
How can I distinguish between a bad case and CV sub axles or the hub assemblies being the problem here?
