Hey guys this is my fist post on here. I just bought a 1999 Explorer XLT 2wd. It only has 71,000 miles on it which is great! The only thing is the front end like creaks when I turn right and I believe it is coming from the passenger side, I took it to my local alignment shop and had a front end check done but he said everything looked good. Could it be a shock? Thanks guys!

If the shop said it looked okay, I wouldn't worry too much. Could be a dried up bushing, or a loint that needs a little grease, maybe a shock.
If it was anything serious I'm sure the shop you took it to would have informed you.

Does it squeak when you turn the wheel when sitting still or when moving?

Mostley when I am turning. But I think it does it when I am sitting still too. Also can you guys tell me if I have a locking rear diff?

There should be a metal tag on the axle cover on the right side.
on the bottom of the tag it should say something like: 3 L 73 for example on my truck.
The L means locking and 3 73 means just that 3:73 gears.
If there is an S instead, it is Semi-locking
If there is no letter inbetween the ratio, you just got one wheel peel.

Haha alright thanks! If its S how does semi-locking compare to locking? Whats the diff?
