the sound is only coming from the front right ... anytime i hit a bump, hole, etc i hear it ... and its pretty loud ... have any of you guys with a spacer lift had/have this problem? FYI 2.25/1.75, new kyb struts and moog balljoints ... it didnt do it with just the struts and balljoints in just after the lift

i have read on here, that isn't a very good thing to do to that gen. from what i understand its destructive. i don't know i have a 2nd gen.

Maybe grab a mate or two and get them to push down on the front corner while you isolate where the squeak is coming from? It might need some grease (what ever it is) or even replacement bushing's.

I knew the cons of doin the lift before I began but lynchy ... Where would I find mates? :D but that is a good idea ... Never thought of that as simple as it is lol

That's me mate, simple:D

Have your sway bar bushings gone dry? Try replacing those first and pack them with a lot of grease.
My front end squeaked and made odd noise until I replaced the sway bar bushings. Here's my how to on replacing them
How to: Replace Sway Bar Bushings

I thought about the sway bar bushings ... Sprayed them with lubricant and did nothing ... Obviously not as good as grease but shouldve did something if it was the swaybar IMO but dunno and confused

mine did the same thing, got the polyurethane swaybar bushings and filled em with grease, no more squeaking!!

I'm third on the list, grease you sway bar bushings! I got some new moog bushings and they were only like 15 bucks but well worth it. The nasty squeak was gone!!

Can anyone tell me the moog part number for the sway bar bushing's we need? Also how big are our swaybar's? mine measure up at about 32mm. Does that sound about right?

X2 need the part number ...

Wow our xs have that many options for swaybars? What makes the sizes differ?

Well it was really only two options, the 29-30mm and the 31-32mm. Im not sure what why they made two different ones but I can say that my 05 XLT 4.0 4x4 has the larger sway bar.

yeah i have the 05 xlt 4.0 as well ... but what about the bushings on the end of the sway bar? could that be a problem with the squeaking?

I think the ones that are noisy that the bar passes through...the ones bolted to the frame.

On a different note I put my 3" body lift on yesterday. WOW, I almost need a step ladder to check the oil now haha. I am sure it's even harder for you Millertime!

Got any pics ronin ... Before and after

Doubt the noise is coming from the sway bar links. Most the pressure is put on the frame bushings so when they get older and drier they tend to make more noise. And with the added rotation from the strut spacers its just stresses those bushing even more.

Thank's mate. I s'pose the different size is for 4x2 and 4x4? Raybestos also do one for 31mm-32mm for about a dollar more than moog.
