I have this clunking noise from the front end when i go over certain types of bumps and holes. I have had the ball joints replaced and that did not do the job. It is getting worse. A repair shop said it was the shock and strut and mount assembly but before i pay the money i was wondering if any one had the same thing with any different result. It is an 07 explorer.

Sounds like you need some bushings, but your truck is still kinda new for that stuff to wear out.

I have a real bad sway if i touch the wheel quick and slightly turn it on the highway doing 70 would the bushings make this happen.

I realize this is an old post, but I am doing research to replace the struts on all 4 corners for our 2006 explorer. Vehicle is all stock and has about 80k miles on it.

The "quick change of the wheel, causing a real bad sway" mention in the previous post is seen in our vehicle as well. Was there any solution to this?
