front grille

I want to make my own mesh grille so that my lights in my grille are not restrained... has anyone cut their front grille and inserted some type of wire mesh?
If anyone has pictures that will help... thanks

I inserted some wire mesh, i just had the stock plastic mesh i didn't like the look of it. So i put in some wire mesh that i got at home depot. You can only see it close up from farther away you cant even tell its there. I will try and take a pic later.
