I am getting a very loose feeling in the front end and a thumping that sounds like a flat spot on a tire along with a pulsing while braking. I am going to rotate tires which might help the thumping or at least isolate tat problem, but the looseness of the right front is an issue. 158K on truck, I have had it for the last 30K. Does the front wheel on a 2 wheel drive have a wheel hub nut? I would think not.

Any help on front wheel bearing would be great!

Jack it up and try pushing & pulling on the wheel itself. If you get any play it could be your bearings, but they would make a grinding sound and vibration. Also try making the wheel simulate a left/right turn by hand and if it moves try to isolate it to your control arm/radius arm etc. While your under there also take a look at your suspension.

The front bearing on a 2wd is a traditional cone and cup (aka tapered roller bearing). It will have a spindle nut behind the dust cap just like most vehicles for the past 60 years or so.
