Front Rear Problem?

2005 sport trac - Got a flat tire yesterday noticed left front tire binding up when turning. New Cv axles were installed on both sides awhile ago. Binding appears to be coming from Front Diff. but when i spin pass. side tire no binding occuring???

Front Diff leaking where drive shaft yoke goes into. probably ran to low on fluid. Gonna add some but damage most likly done?

yeh i too just replaced the pinion seal on my front end. no binding on mine though. yeh ford does not add factory lockers/limited slips in the front ends. there for each side works completely independent from the other. i you have binding on the left could be something as simple as the caliper on the brakes is locked up, or it could be the outer wheel bearing assembly, or the bearings inside the axle housing. i put money on the outer bearing assembly being shot. the outer bearings are only 80buck or so and not too terrible to do but anything on the actual axle housing will more than likely require removal of the axle

First question would be ......... you didn't have 4WD engaged did you?
