Front Right Knock

[1991Explorer]

I just bought this Explorer recently and I am now experiencing a knock from what seems to be the front right about every 5 seconds. I also hear a louder knock when I am turning left. I am no expert on 4X4's but it almost sounds as if the 4x4 has not disengaged. Has anyone experienced this problem, or does anyone have a clue what it might be?

Hubs? Ball joints? Radius arm bushings?

I vote for Ball Joints.

Id check the ra bushing , but then I dont know how to check the ball joints.

Ok, you guys are going to think I'm nuts, but the noise just went away. Is it possible that 4x4 was just not fully deactivated? I was officially one of the idiots who didn't read that reversing a little is necessary do disengage. Am I way of basis on this? I am still going to take everyone's advice and check the Radius Arm bushings and the ball joints just in case.
