I just bought an '94 XLT and it needs a new front shock, what should i replace it with? I need to replace both front right? While im at it should i change up the rear?
Yeah if you think they need replaced replace all 4. Blistien or rancho is good. You can also search here to get more opinions on different shocks and how they work for people.
I have 1 front Bilstien for a stock 1st gen X, brand new. I thought I had a leaky shock but it wasn't. If you want to go to Bilsteins I'll let this one go for $25 plus shipping and you can get another from E-shocks for $70.
I just got done doing my own Rancho RSX's this past Tuesday...took a little bit of time, but that was because we had trouble breaking the bolt loose in the rear and figuring out the tool sizes we needed. I got all 4 Rancho RSXs for $203.96 from Truckaddons.com....shipping tax and eveything included....so far it's a good ride, a million times better then my worn shocks from before. Stiffer than stock but still a very nice ride.
