Best shock replacements?

My explorer doesn't need them, but I put a new set of monroe stockers on and it really improved handling and ride.

I was wondering what's the best shocks for daily driving? I do no off roading, but lots of highway driving and was wondering if ranchos, konis, kyb, etc would be worth the few extra dollars?

I'm planning on putting on some Rancho's RS5000 soon.

uhhh why was this moved? i don't want the shocks for offroad i want them for daily [STOCK] use.

Apparently it was moved because it has to do with shocks.

Here is a quote from another thread that I think is very good advise.

My last piece of advice is to avoid the cheap shocks, I never realized what a difference good shocks make until I bucked up and paid for them. You are pretty demanding of your vehicles, give it the tools to meet those demands or you will never be happy with it.
