Front turn signal/parking ass'y: How remove?

My official Ford manual say to remove the two screws attaching it to the radiator support, then remove lens assembly. How? It still feels like it is solidly attached. Does it pull straight out (with some force required) like the rear light assembly? If so, how is this done, as there does not appear to be a good way to get a good enough grip on it to do so?
